Red Hat Open Innovation Labs is organising Hackathon Singapore in partnership with Bosch Software Innovations on September 23 and 24, 2017. The theme of the Hackathon is:
"Open Source IoT: Open your mind for fun and empathy"

Day 1 : September 23, 12:00pm to 6:00pm
Day 2 : September 24, 8:00am to 6:00pm

Hacktahon - Technical details:

The Singapore Hackathon will center around using the Bosch Cross-Domain Development Kit (XDK), a prototyping platform for the development of IoT applications. The XDK 110 [0] IoT device will be tied with a Raspberry Pi3 device (RPi 2 will work as well) will be the gateway into the XDK. Bosch Software Innovations is working on a RPi to XDK interface so that the participants can then write their code to the RPi and get the RPi to interact and extract info from the XDK.

The participants will bring their own laptops and if they have a Raspberry Pi, bring that as well. If they don't have a RPi, Red Hat will make that available per team (which they can keep after the contest!).

Please note that each team should not have more than 3 persons. We can accept but discourage single person teams.

Red Hat and Bosch Software Innovations will jointly run a training session at RH offices one or two weeks before the contest. The training is to ensure that the participants will have a set up that is functional for the contest.

The training session will go through an example of how to talk with the RPi-XDK setup and get results for whatever the teams want to build. Red Hat & Bosch Software Innovations will craft a set of 5 problem statements that the teams should work on.

Judging will be done on September 24 between 4pm and 6pm.
