JBUGs Sydney & Melbourne - 19th & 20th November 2012

Fresh from Red Hat Integration and BPM week and due to his popular JBoss BPM workshops last year, we're pleased to announce that Kris Verlaenen, jBPM Lead Engineer will be here to update us on BPM5 and discuss how to simplify the complexity of your business processes.

JBoss Enterprise BRMS delivers business process management (BPM) capabilities based on the jBPM community project.  This allows both developers and business users to manage business processes more efficiently by using a combination of web-based and Eclipse-based tooling.

In this session, Kris Verlaenen, the jBPM project lead, will explain how to tackle some of the more recent challenges related to business process management, such as flexible processes, human interaction, and integration with external services using domain-specific services.

Speaker: Kris Verlaenen - jBPM Lead Engineer, Red Hat

Kris Verlaenen leads the JBoss jBPM 5 effort and is also one of the core developers of the Drools project, which he started contributing to in 2006. After finishing his PhD in computer science in 2008, he joined JBoss full time and became the Drools Flow lead.

He has a keen interest in the healthcare domain, one of the areas that has already shown to have a great need for a unified process, rule, and event processing framework.
