Red Hat Network Satellite has been successfully managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux in traditional datacenters since 2002. In that time, Red Hat Network Satellite has been extremely popular, managing groups of systems that scale from small local deployments to vast global infrastructures. Future versions of Red Hat Network Satellite will provide even greater tools and capabilities for customers to manage the machines both deployed within their datacenters and federated out to public clouds.

In this session, members of the Red Hat Network Satellite product leadership team will discuss and demonstrate the dramatic new direction that the product is taking. A sampling of what is covered includes:

  • Powerful content mirroring and deployment
  • Recipe-driven configuration management
  • Vastly improved and rearchitected subscription tracking and inventory management
  • New fine-grained user roles
  • Redesigned application and system lifecycle management architecture and workflow
